Toronto’s first Nordstrom opens its doors to the public tomorrow after a star-studded opening gala and fashion show Wednesday night. The 220k SF, three-floor store (occupying the former Sears Canada space) has a cocktail lounge, a children’s playhouse and a full-service licensed restaurant. Nordstrom’s second Toronto location, at Yorkdale Shopping Centre, opens Oct. 21, followed by CF Sherway Gardens in 2017. Earlier this summer Great Gulf announced a 38,600 SF Nordstrom Rack, Canada’s first, will open in the podium of One Bloor East in 2018. Several other locations are planned.
