San Francisco-based brokerage Maven Commercial has added a trio of well-known retail-restaurant specialists formerly with CGI Retail.

After 20 years as an advisory team within CGI Retail, Retail Partner Catherine Meunier, Jacklyn Arzio and Krystal Channick have joined Maven Commercial, the company said Monday.

While with CGI, the three represented both tenants, including restaurants like Perbacco and Super Duper Burgers and retailers like 24 Hour Fitness, as well as landlords like Macerich.

The move follows the passing in January of CGI Retail founder Carol Gilbert, who established the brokerage and competitor to Maven in 1990. CGI Retail will now be dissolved, prompting the team's move, according to Meunier.

"Joining Maven was the obvious choice because we know and respect the team," Meunier said in a statement. "The clincher was their unique approach: As a personable, agile boutique they have built a relationship-based team and collaborative infrastructure that can’t be found at larger brokerage firms."

Maven, which was founded in 2010, is led by principal and Managing Broker Santino DeRose and principal Pamela Mendelsohn.

“Adding Catherine, Jacklyn and Krystal in these challenging times is a big win for our current and future clients,” DeRose said in a statement. “This is a turbulent time for everyone, but we believe that adding this wealth of experience places our team in a position to provide the best guidance to our combined clients as well as to the overall retail industry."
