Burger Chain Pursues Oakland To Step Into Bay Area

In a play to grow into the Bay Area, Checkers and Rally's (a Florida-based chain) has its sights on Oakland, which the company believes could support up to 40 locations.

The chain would like at least two or three franchisees to open two to five restaurants by the end of 2017. The company has 825 restaurants nationwide, including locations in Southern California, according to the San Francisco Business Times.

Checkers and Rally's is looking throughout the Bay Area but focused on a growing Oakland. [SFBT]
