Manayunk is already home to several bars and breweries. Now Source Brewing is set to join them with a multi-use location set to open next fall.

Source Brewing plans to open its doors in a former bank building at 4334 Main St. next year, according to an interview in PhillyVoice. The four-story, 10K SF space will feature a “high-end hotel lounge café,” owner Philip Petracca told the publication.

The café section will open early in the mornings to serve coffee and function as a workspace. By afternoon, the menu will switch over to offer small plates and alcoholic beverages, according to Petracca.

Petracca, who was once a guest on the show Shark Tank, runs the brewery with his wife, Keri Petracca, as well as business partner Greg Taylor. The new location follows openings in Fishtown and Colts Neck, New Jersey.

The location faces the Manayunk Canal section of the Schuylkill River Trail, popular with bicyclists.

“Manayunk was placed on our radar. We actually fell in love with the location,” Petracca told PhillyVoice. “The folks that run the groups within Manayunk do a really great job of supporting small business and doing events throughout the year. [There are] a lot of people and beautiful residential apartments on the water, and just so much history there.”

Source Brewing joins a growing cluster of beer-makers in the town, including Twisted Gingers on Fleming Street and New Ridge Brewing Co. on Ridge Avenue. Manayunk Brewing Co. and Fat Lady Brewing have locations on Main Street.

Wissahickon Brewing Co. is also just east of town at 3705 W. Schoolhouse Lane.

Source Brewing has been in expansion mode for months. It opened a café at its original Colts Neck location last year and now plans its second Philadelphia location at 1526 N. American St. in Olde Kensington.

Permits were issued for a change in use a year ago at the Manayunk property, according to the city’s licenses and inspections website.
