Rita's Italian Ice is opening its newest location in Placentia today, with another to follow in Brea in April. The PA-based chain is undertaking a major expansion in the OC market, with 50 stores and food trucks planned. Stores rotate 12 to 16 flavors each from 67 offerings, including such flavors as peanut butter and jelly, mango, juicy pear and cookie dough, the Orange County Register reports. Currently the chain has OC locations in Huntington Beach, Anaheim and Mission Viejo. [OCR]
