Optimism Driving OC Construction

Construction activity has perked up in OC, Klorman Construction CEO Bill Klorman, tells us, and part of the reason is positive thinking:"The driving force behind the rebound in construction and commercial real estate has been the flow of positive economic news, which has led to a greater sense of optimism."It began with multifamily, but now we're seeing it "across all product lines."

Recently the Irvine Co tasked Klorman to build a 1,100-stall, five-level parking structure for the Irvine Cos new office tower at 520 Newport Center Dr in Newport Beach (pictured). The structure will provide parking for the new 300k SF office building, with both slated to finish in early 2014.
