Amazon's First Retail Store Coming To Time Warner Center

It was only a matter of time (and real estate): Amazon will open its first bookstore in NYC.

The Seattle-based tech e-commerce behemoth will open a 4k SF spread at the Shops at Columbus Circle, inside Related Cos’ Time Warner Center, the Wall Street Journal reports.

A second location is being mulled for the Hudson Yards area. Amazon opened its first bookstore in 2015 in Seattle. The company also has storefronts in San Diego and Portland, OR. There are plans for future stores in Chicago and Needham, MA.

Just last month news broke that Amazon is looking for up to 250k SF of office space in Manhattan. [WSJ]
