BISNOW'S FIRST SCHMOOZE!

We were so excited to see over 200 of you faithful readers last night at our first NYC event, held at the Aspen Social Club on West 47th.
Arquitectonica's Sam Luckino, L-3 Communications' Chris Jeter, and our event guru Brad White. Sam tells us that Arquitectonica has been quite busy designing projects like Related's 440 West 42nd St. tower, RockRose's 31-story EastCoast residential tower in Long Island City, and Avalon Chrystie Street in Cooper Square.
Zetlin & De Chiara's Whitney Murray and Lina Telese tell us their law firm just participated in a successful AIA/ACEC New York special advisory committee meeting, which focused on firm management in difficult times. Lina and Michael De Chiara lead a session on understanding critical contract provisions, which included panelists from Kohn Pedersen Fox, Arup, Bovis Lend Lease, and SOM.
REOnomy.com co-founders Jonathan Arnold and Charlie Oshman. The entrepreneurs recently launched their website as an online information provider with integrated parcel data and property research tools. The site focuses on the five boroughs and the majority of Joizey, and can be used by the broker to lender and development to private equity firm.
Monday Properties' Aaron Twersky and Kastle Systems' Robert DiProspero. Aaron reports that Monday's 386 Park Avenue South has seen a lot of activity on the renewal side, and it's about to embark on lobby and common corridor renovations. Kastle just released a new video monitoring service, which Robert says will save money and increase security efficiency. We guess moats and drawbridges are no longer in vogue.
Ferzan Robbins' and NYCREW prez Liz Muskat, Murray Hill Properties' David Stringer, Susan Seckel behind Deena Baikowitz, Wurk Environments' Joseph DeTrano; and NYCREW prez-elect Sharon Khurdan are quite the enterprising crowd. Liz is fundraising for Share, a support network for women living with breast and ovarian cancer; Deena is delivering workshops on networking and presentation skills; and, Joseph works on biz dev for exec office space with a hospitable twist—check back next week for more on Wurk. (More photos from last night).
