The partners are at work on “smart city” infrastructure planned at DIA and the neighboring Peña Station NEXT, where Panasonic is putting its US sales and engineering hub. Among other things, it will include a solar energy collection and battery storage carport system built with the help of Xcel Energy, a network of programmable LED street lights and on-street cameras, and video analytics technology for parking, traffic and security management.
