Today's the day (and fittingly, Earth Day): Denver International Airport joins the 20-plus other cities in the country to have a rail line that connects Downtown to the airport directly. Real estate and economic development near the airport is already gaining momentum. Besides the Westin International Airport that opened in November, a new Panasonic Enterprise Solutions technology center will be at the last stop before the airport; Denver beat out 21 other cities to win the new center. Also, the 1,500-room Gaylord Rockies Hotel near the airport is well underway.
