An Ultimate Family Suite In Royal Caribbean's Symphony Of The Seas Ship

A massive new cruise ship is set to hit the water in April — and it is packed with cool amenities.

The ship, called Symphony of the Seas and owned by Royal Caribbean International, will be five times the size of the Titanic in volume and will hold 2,774 staterooms on 16 guest decks, Bloomberg reports.

The cruiser will be split into seven “neighborhoods” and will offer features including robot bartenders in its Bionic Bar, a 10-story-high slide and a duplex family suite complete with a movie theater, an air hockey table, a full-size hot tub and a Lego wall that reaches from floor to ceiling.

If guests get bored playing in their rooms, they can always check out one of the 20-plus restaurants, the comedy club, surf simulators, zip line or live entertainment, including a high-diving and acrobatics show that will debut at the open-air amphitheater. The ship will also have a glow-in-the-dark laser tag arena.

Like hoteliers, cruise ships are increasingly attempting to attract and amaze new guests as well as encourage repeat cruisers to spend more money when they are on board. The lavish amenities are also aimed to encourage social media sharing, which is a form of free marketing for the brands.
