A Seattle-Based Tech Consultancy, The Irish Government And Railway Engineers: Boom Town Manchester's Latest Relocation Haul

A random day in spring 2019, and boom-town Manchester scoops another rich harvest of new office occupiers and relocators.

This time the list of new arrivals reads like the start of a joke: the Irishman, the American and the railway engineer. Although none are large, it is worth pausing to look at them to grasp how the city's economy and property markets are changing.

Seattle-headquartered consultancy Slalom is now working from offices at Peter House, its first outpost in the city since it opened in London in 2014.

The firm helps clients address modern-day challenges associated with technology, data and people, working with solution providers including Amazon Web Services, Google, Salesforce and Tableau to tackle ambitious projects and build new capabilities.

Slalom plans to employ 200 people in Manchester by 2025, Invest in Manchester reported.

Simultaneously the Government of Ireland has announced it is opening a permanent trade office in Manchester, following a visit by the Irish minister for business, Business Desk reported.

Pell Frischmann's projects include the Horwich Loco Works link road and Stockport Railway Station, North West Business Insider reported.
