Lowe's Expands To Cinco Ranch

Lowe’s will build a new 100k SF store at The Shoppes at Cinco Ranch. Thor Equities is developing the 35-acre property, which also has signed a Walgreens. Lowe's is betting on continued growth in Katy. CEO Joseph Sitt is also optimistic, calling Katy a bright spot within the Houston area.

The move is another salvo in the battle between Lowe’s and Home Depot, which operates a store just four miles away. Lowe’s has done well recently but has struggled to keep up with its larger rival.

Thor Equities is also building the Kirby Collection, a major mixed-use infill project.
