Watt Coshas its eyes on a massive mixed-use project in Littleton.

The SoCal-based Watt Cos is planning to develop a mixed-use project next to Littleton Adventist Hospital, including250k SF in retail (perfect place for a teddy bear store--then again, every place is) and 900 units of both single- and multifamily housing.We spoke with Watts Nadine Watt and Allison Lynch recently at ICSCs RECon in Las Vegas, where the duo was featuring a number of their development projects. Nadine says the company is under contract to purchase more than 77 acres at the corner of Broadway and Dry Creek roads in Littleton from a local family. If it closes, the company should move forward on development by Q1 14.

Watts Jennifer McElyeasays the company will act as master developer and may selectively joint venture with other developers or sell portions of the finished property off, depending on market factors.This is one of the select properties Watt is developing outside of its home turf of California. The other big project is a redevelopment on the island of Maui. Asked if they found any tenants for the retail portion, Allison quipped, Why do you think were in Vegas? (To see Celine Dion?)
