New owners of Echo Mountain plan a $5M expansion of the ski resort with plans to open an alpine athletics training facility in November. It's the result of Pykkonen Capital’s purchase of the 1,500 vertical foot ski resort outside of Denver, which it acquired via auction held by Sheldon Good & Co. While Echo Mountain is already a fully-functional ski resort, only a third of the property’s 226 acres have been developed. Pykkonen sees real expansion potential, officials tell us.
