Cimarex Renews HQ At The Cash Register Building

Cimarex Energy has gassed up an HQ renewal at the famous Cash Register towerin Denver.

We just learned that Cimarex inked a 70k SF renewal at the distinctive Wells Fargo Center at 1700 Lincoln St and is also movin on up (try getting that song out of your head now) to the 36th-38thfloors, says CBRE wunderkind Sam DePizzol.

Here's a view of Cimarex's new offices. (Can you see him in the window?) Sam also says his other big tenant, Marsh & Mercer, is close to a deal as well. Its not done, but the lease is being negotiated, he tells us. The firm is currently at the 17thStreet Plaza and has been scouting the market for 40k SF. Sam declined to say what building Marsh & Mercer is in talks with.
