Sanctuary Residential CEO Bernard Felder says his Charlotte-based company broke ground on 200 Edgewood, a 144-unit (254-bed) infill development on 1.2 acres across from Georgia State University and the Grady/Children’s Hospital Medical Complex. The property will be one of the first TODs along the new Atlanta Streetcar line, at the new Sweet Auburn Curb Market station.
By summer 2016, it'll include a new seven-story building and two historic rehab buildings, targeting not only students but also medical interns and residents, Bernard says. Besides its nearby transit connection, 200 Edgewood also has a Walk Score of 97, a "Walkers Paradise," which is another important selling point amongst students.
