Jeld-Wen inked a deal to take all of the 120k SF One Silver Crescent in Ayrsley. The company moved to Charlotte from Oregon in 2012 and is expanding its local workforce. Currently it occupies space at the Ally Center. Developer New Forum Inc had planned One Silver Crescent as a spec building, but now it will essentially be a built-to-suit for the window and door manufacturer, the Charlotte Business Journal reports.
The building, with 30k SF floor plates, will have features common to newer structures with creative elements: 10-foot ceilings, oversized windows, common spaces and exterior public space. The project will qualify for as much as $2.4M in the North Carolina Jobs Development Investment Grant program. [CBJ]
