RC Properties and Cornerstone Real Estate Advisors closed on the acquisition of the 565k SF 101 Independence Center in Uptown for nearly $108M. The 20-story tower at 101 N Tryon, vintage 1983, is about 82% occupied, with tenants that include Bank of America, Northeastern University and CliftonLarsonAllen. With this deal, New York-based LRC now owns 3.4M SF of office space in the Charlotte area, CoStar reports. HFF's Ryan Clutter, Zack Drozda, Kelly Kuykendall and Ryan Eklund marketed the property on behalf of the seller, California-based KBS Real Estate Investment Trust. [CoStar]
