Carolina Golf Lodge has filed a rezoning to allow a golf teaching and training academy on 42 acres at Cindy Lane and Hutchinson-McDonald Road. The plan is to build a facility offering both indoor and outdoor practice areas, practice holes, and a deli-grill room or similar restaurant (for when you're a bit peckish from all that putting), Carolina Golf Lodge?s Jon Jarrett says in his petition. (He didn't return a phone call.) The outfit is seeking a land-use change from residential to business. A public hearing is scheduled for Dec. 12.
