Will Whitley (left) of Charlotte-based New South Properties, with business partner Dale Hall, says his boutique retail brokerage firm is busier now than it has been in at least two years. But he cautions that ?busy? in the brokerage world is a tricky concept. ?In our business, it's not hard to be busy, but it can be hard to be productive.? But New South, which employs 11, is making its signature deals happen. The firm recently sold a 6,000 SF Mattress Firm-occupied building in Rock Hill, SC, in a 1031 exchange for$1.5M. New South also anticipates some pending action soon with some of its national clients, which include Staples, Old Navy, Chick-Fil-A, and Pier 1 Imports. Stay tuned.
