University Investments Group has filed a rezoning to permit construction of up to 400 student housing units within walking distance of UNCC in a development that could hit $40M, University Investments? Lindsey McAlpine tells us. (We assume they're also within walking distance of some late night pizza.) The unnamed project, at University City Boulevard and Mallard Creek Church Road, should be finished by August 2013, just in time for the UNCC fall semester. A public hearing is set for Jan. 17.
