| Jerry last Friday served formal notice in Mecklenburg County Superior Court that he will once again file suit to nullify the Charlotte Knights? land lease uptown. (We snapped Jerry in June at a county commission committee meeting.) The $1 per year uptown leasewould allow the Knights to relocate from Fort Mill, SC. (The Knights recently came to terms with the county to build a new, $55M stadium and have it ready for the 2014 season.) Jerry has previously filed about a half dozen failed lawsuits, saying Charlotte deserves a major league team uptown. ?We can't control what other people do,? Dan tells us. ?But there is no merit to any of these lawsuits.? |
