… than to build in Carolina. Charlotte-based York Development Group wants to build a $10M120k SF four-building office complex, plus ahotel and possible bank outparcel on 13 acres at US Hwy 521 andProvidence Road West.

 

York?s Brian Rollar (above) flips through site plans. The local planning staff didn't like an earlier proposal that included retail andrestaurant space (sorry to tease you), so Brian tells us York will be seeking a plan amendment for the new design. A public hearingwas held earlier this week, and a decision will come in April. That part of town is in burgeoning Ballantyne, which is swiftly outstripping older parts of Charlotte in both population and income, Brian tells us.
