Hotel operator Strand Development Co, with offices in Charlotte and Myrtle Beach, SC, will expand to the far western regions in the next three to five years, Strands? John Pharr tells us. The game plan is to infiltrate the Midwest and move on to the West Coast, John says. In just the past two years, the company has extended its management reach well beyond the Carolinas, adding hotels in Virginia, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Michigan.
