More Demand = More Apartment Construction

Another day, another apartment development. The pace might not be quite that brisk in Charlotte, but you'd be forgiven for getting that impression. A recent Real Data report says that apartment occupancy is 93.3% in metro Charlotte, spurring developers to plan another 8,300 units (plus the 3,000 now under way). Developer Lat Purser & Associates is getting ready to move it its third  apartment property in the city, the Edison in Plaza Midwood (pictured) from the "planned" category to "under construction" next month.
