XPO Logistics opened its national operations center recently at Ballantyne Two at Ballantyne Corporate Park, citing the region's talent pool as one of the reasons, expecting to hire about 300 workers  over the next few years. Of course it didn't hurt that the Michigan-HQ'd XPO got about $4.3M in incentives from the state. (Incentivization: It works in business and getting your kids to do their summer reading.) Bissell SVP Barry Fabyan (with senior associate Rett Turner, who just joined the company, and senior associate Kim Kendall) is in charge of leasing at Ballantyne and SouthPark and tells us the park can accommodate space users of up to 560k SF because of its unusually large amount of spec space. Larger spaces in SouthPark are a little harder to come by, however.
