| Gigi's Cupcakes has leased 1,200 SF at Sharon Corners in SouthPark, its first location in Charlotte. The bakery is taking the space previously occupied by Mephisto, a French shoe chain (that requires you to trade your soul for shoes), which moved to 2,500 SF next to the Original Pancake House. Crosland's Gwen Glaeser repped the landlord in both transactions. Gigi's Cupcakes is expected to open this month. The company plans a total of about 50 stores by year's end. The local franchise is owned by Sergio Acosta and Caroline Sjogren. |
