HUNTERSVILLE LANDS $6M PROJECT

Coming from the ground at Old Statesville Road and NC Highway 73 is Huntersville Plaza, a $6M mixed-use project back by a team of local investors, including principals with Charlotte-based DCG Construction. DCG?s Andrew Rowe tells us its being constructed in two phases, and one of the first tenants is an 11k SF Learning Experience daycare center. That phase comes with another 3,000 SF of miscellaneous retail. A planned, 20k SF second phase already has turned the heads of some prospective retail and medical office users, he adds. The project will take advantage of the current widening of NC Highway 73, a federal stimulus  project expanding the road from two lanes to six. DCG is general contractor; Lima Architects is the designer.
