HORACK TALLEY ASSEMBLES PARK LAND

Charlotte law firm of Horack Talley recently helped Mecklenburg County buy 242 acres of park land for about $3.7M. The deal, which Horack Talley handled for free, involved acreage on the west branch of the Rocky River, which will be added to an existing 300-acre park in northern Mecklenburg County. Assembling the property wasn't easy, Horack attorney Ann Pilkington tells us. It required purchasing land from four different sellers, gaining various access and restrictive agreements, and then selling all 242 acres to Mecklenburg County.
