Green Light for Sharon Square Phase 2

Pappas Properties and Allen Tate Co broke ground on the second phase of the multi-use Sharon Square, at the corner of Sharon and Fairview Roads, adjacent to Phillips Place in the SouthPark market. The property will include 239 apartments and 22k SF of retail on its first floor. According to Pappas Properties' Peter Pappas, negotiations are under way with ?several retail prospects that are new to the market.? Look for retail and restaurants to open fall 2013. 

Here's the Charlotte Whole Foods when it first opened for business in late August. The momentum driven by Charlotte's first Whole Foods has created significant demand in all aspects of Sharon Square, Pappas tells us. The customers  that it brings, coupled with the strong demographics of the SouthPark market and the limited amount of space, drive demand for more restaurant and shop space.
