Goats will once again take center stage at this year's Green, Goats & Gardens Festival in Charlotte's University City, an event to raise awareness about our natural resources. The celebration, to be heldApril 30 at 1000 Louis Rose Way, is sponsored by University City Partners and consulting firm Environmental Way, which operates an educational lab of sorts designed to help the CRE communityunderstand how sustainable energy can be used practically and affordably. (Goats, for example, are an extremely effective and earth-friendly way to control undergrowth on commercial properties.) But it's not all message. The event will include a free bike inspection and rodeo, a duathlon (leave your swim trunks at home), live music, displays, arts and crafts, and (human) food.
