| An eyesore is about to get a revamp. The Foundation for the Carolinas has proposed a temporary pocket park in downtown Charlotte on the site of the former Carolina Theatre. Foundation VP Laura Smith tells us the foundation wanted to offer an immediate strategy to the city for the property, pending a longer-term plan. The foundation's plan envisions green space but also the placement of three or four pieces of sculpture by Stephen Dee Edwards, which are on loan to foundation from the Luski Family. |
