Wood Partners has proposed construction of a 275-unit complex at Perimeter Parkway and I-77, near NorthLake Mall, aiming to rezone 11 acres to multifamily. The area is most certainly heating up for multifamily development, considering its proximity to interstates, employment centers, and, of course, the mall. Real Data?s Charles Dalton tells us five other projects representing 1,300 units are proposed for that submarket. ?Everybody is gravitating to multifamily right now,? Charles says, adding that apartment development benefits from poorsingle-family sales. A public hearing on Wood Partners' request is scheduled for July 18.
