CRESCENT PLANS TOWNHOMES

It looks like a lively game of Risk. Crescent Resources plans to incorporate about 100 townhomes in its 320-acre mixed-use development on Shopton Road West. The Charlotte development company has filed a rezoning to allow 721 homes for the next two phases of its Chapel Cove community. It also wants to add about 70k SF of retail space, according to a petition filed with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Planning Dept. The development site is on the edge of Lake Wylie, near Crescent?s Sanctuary community. A public hearing is set for January.
