CARDINAL SELLS LAND AT CAROWINDS

Cardinal Real Estate Partners just sold 62 acres of ?industrial dirt? for about $2.7M. (We have plenty of dirt to sell... we'll grab a shovel.)
 
The site, off I-77, straddles Mecklenburg, NC and York County, SC. The buyer, (Carowinds theme park owner) Sandusky, OH-based Cedar Fair, bought the property as an investment. (They?ve been parking cars there anyway.) The seller was NY-based private equity firm D.E. Shaw & Co. Cardinal?s John Culbertson  was lone broker in the sale. Land sales have been few and far between of late, John tells us. ?With so few transactions being done, when land does sell, it is a story,? John says.
