| The site, off I-77, straddles Mecklenburg, NC and York County, SC. The buyer, (Carowinds theme park owner) Sandusky, OH-based Cedar Fair, bought the property as an investment. (They?ve been parking cars there anyway.) The seller was NY-based private equity firm D.E. Shaw & Co. Cardinal?s John Culbertson was lone broker in the sale.
