Recently we told you about the new CRE Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer alliance in Charlotte, but we didn't know they were quite this busy. The Richmond-based firm's eight offices in Virginia and North Carolina completed 149 leases last month totaling more than 1M SF with a value of almost $44M. Industrial leases accounted for the lion?s share at 609k SF. Office and retail leases came in at 274k and 215k SF, respectively. This is the third month in 2011 in which Thalhimer's leasing volume has exceeded 1M SF. ?We continue to see a lot of activity in the Charlotte area,? says CW|T?s Warren Snowdon. ?We're sensing that a lot of jobs are being created. Charlotte is a bright spot.?
