French Kitchen Hires New Chef

He's worked in restaurants in Paris, Jakarta, Macau and Miami, and now Frank Ziegler has taken over the French Kitchen restaurant at the Lord Baltimore Hotel. We snapped a pic of the new executive chef last Friday as we sampled tomato soup, salmon and chocolate mousse from the Alsace, France, native. Note the restaurant design, as it's modeled on the Hall of Mirrors at Versailles. As he puts his stamp on the food and wine menu, Alsatian food and wine will influence Ziegler's selections.

The Lord Baltimore Hotel was purchased in 2013 by Miami's Rubell Hotels, which gave the 440-room, French Renaissance-style hotel a multimillion-dollar renovation.
