Maryland Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown, Gov. Marty O'Malley,Tecore Networks CEO Jay Salkini, and Congressman Dutch Ruppersberger hit up the grand opening for Tecore's new, 48k SF HQ at 7030 Hi Tech Dr in Hanover late last week. The mobile network infrastructure supplier relocated from leased space in Columbia.
CBRE's Jonathan Beard, who handled the sale to Tecore this summer, told us today the building and its two sisters (7010 and 7050) found happy endings after a rough start. CSG Partners built them spec and then couldn't get any leases as the downturn set in. The developer's bank, Wells Fargo, took title, and CBRE sold each one to a different growing tech/cybersecurity company that wanted control of its real estate. Alliance Technology bought 7010 and OPS Consulting 7050. Jonathan says each owner/user also bought with room to grow.
