Whole Foods just inked a lease in Cedar Park, north of Austin, for one of its low-priced 365 by Whole Foods Market stores to meet the rising demand for organic grocers. The store will be geared toward a younger crowd and will be heavy in technology and social media tools. In July, Whole Foods announced its initial four leases for 365 by Whole Foods Market stores, including Houston. The first three stores are slated to open in 2016 and up to 10 are expected to open in 2017. Whole Foods’ Q4 earnings are down significantly from last year, and CEO John Mackey hopes the 365 stores will help turn that around.
