What Are You Thankful For This Year?

As Thanksgiving approaches, we asked our loyal readers what they are thankful for this holiday season. Stream Realty Partners managing director (in San Antonio) Ryan Harrison (here, with his children Ainsley, Colby, Aiden and Bella, and his father-in-law Chuck Gaston) tells us he’s thankful for his little fishing buddies and their awesome mom. As far as work goes, he’s glad that the strength of the local market has returned and the environment is appropriate for Stream to build two new office buildings in San Antonio.

The Weitzman Group SVP Bryan Parman (with his girlfriend, Mandy Pruitt, at a wedding in Carmel, CA) tells us he’s thankful that the overall health of the economy has improved, keeping him as busy as he can be. “I feel blessed to live in the great state of Texas,” he says. Personally, he’s thankful for his health. ”Sometimes we take it for granted, but without it we would not be able to do everything that we enjoy,” he tells us.

Stream Realty Partners VP Edvin Beasley is thankful his wife, Angie (pictured) tolerates his craziness, he tells us. He’s also thankful to be working in the Austin commercial real estate market. Not just because of the outstanding existing market conditions, but also because of the people he gets to work with in the industry, he tells us.

Here’s St. Croix Capital Realty Advisors VP Rose Cabezut with four of her five children in front of the original face of the Statue of Liberty in NYC. She tells us her children are her greatest joy and she’s thankful to have been blessed with five of them. This will be the first Thanksgiving in several years that they will all get to be together, and she is really looking forward to cooking a traditional Thanksgiving dinner for everyone. Having joined St. Croix Capital Realty Advisors last year, she’s thankful to be part of such an energetic and collaborative team and look forward to the future growth of the company.

Bisnow’s thankful, too. Here’s Catie Dixon (in red), one of the two beat writers for Austin/San Antonio, on Thanksgiving in Buda last year with her family and their creative (OK, we’ll say it, ugly) Christmas sweaters. Catie’s sweater, made by her stepdaughter, Kayla, included feathers and blinking lights. This year, she’s heading to Houston to celebrate with her in-laws. She’s thankful that you share your stories and help us stay (almost) never boring.
