NY Attorney General Eric Schneiderman told a TV audience Thursday that Donald Trump’s real estate school, Trump University, was “just a scam.”
Trump “bilked people out of millions of dollars,” Schneiderman said on ABC’s Good Morning America, adding, “We’re going to make sure he pays it back.”
Schneiderman dismissed Trump’s TV ads showing ex-students praising the school, saying a couple people satisfied on TV doesn’t add up to a defense in a court of law, Bloomberg reports.
Schneiderman has been making a circuit of TV appearances on the lawsuit, and told MSNBC that Trump was the school’s “pitchman,” and added while instructors claimed to be handpicked by Trump, some were untrained and came from fast food and retail. [Bloomberg]
