1999 Broadway Under Contract
A Massachusetts-based real estate investor could take ownership of one of the tallest skyscrapers in Downtown Denver.
Franklin Street Properties Corp is on track to buy 1999 Broadway, the 680kSF, 43-story tower that shadows over the Holy Ghost Catholic Church. According SEC documents, Franklin has both the tower and the nine-story parking garage at 2099 Welton St under contract for $183M, with a closing scheduled for July 1. (Negotiations are fun, but they want a good seat for fireworks.) The sellers are a consortium of investors, including Pearlmark Real Estate Partners, Broadreach Capital Partners and Equity West Investment Partners. Cushman & Wakefield is brokering the sale, according to docs. Officials with Franklin Street and the sellers didn't return calls seeking comment.
