International law firm Goulston & Storrs hosted a fall night of fun on Oct. 10 at its K Street office, celebrating Forest City’s 48-acre mixed-use destination, The Yards. The Washington Navy Yard, from which The Yards gets its name, has recently commanded CRE interest and investment activity.

As the District’s fastest-growing neighborhood, the Capitol Riverfront was an apt theme for Goulston & Storrs, which maintains a top-tier real estate practice in the District and nationally. Goulston has partnered with numerous development teams on major projects in the area, including The Yards. This annual celebration brings together the firm’s team and many of its clients, as well as CRE professionals from across the industry.

The Capitol Riverfront’s influx of affluent millennials has boosted average household incomes in the area 80% in four years. This has precipitated a wave of new construction that continues to amp up the area’s cool factor.
