Tsawwassen Mills has revealed the retailers (including DSW Designer Show Warehouse, Forever 21, H&M and Marshalls) that’ll help form the 200-store roster at the 1.2M SF shopping centre, whose grand opening—one of Metro Vancouver’s most highly anticipated retail happenings of 2016—is Oct. 5. Joining previously announced anchors Bass Pro Shops (145k SF) and Saks OFF 5th (33k SF) at the Ivanhoé Cambridge-owned Tsawwassen Mills (under construction above) are Pro Hockey Life, Nike Factory Store, Old Navy, Sport Chek, Tommy Hilfiger Outlet, Urban Planet/West49 and Winners.

Tsawwassen Mills' food hall will have full-service restaurants Milestones Grill and Bar and Montana’s Bar & Grill. The retail centre, at Highway 17 and 52nd Street (and 30 minutes from the US border), faces stiff competition for regional and cross-border shopper dollars. Opening this fall next door is Tsawwassen Commons, a 550k SF outdoor mall (above) with Walmart (107k SF), Rona (45k SF) and Canadian Tire (61k SF). Last year's launch of McArthurGlen Designer Outlets created big buzz—and traffic chaos.
