Justin Trudeau Opens Google Canada’s New Office

Toronto Office

We already told you about the opening of Google Canada’s new office in Kitchener. But guess who dropped by to officially open the space? PM/heartthrob-in-chief Justin Trudeau, who toured the digs and joined local school children participating in Codemakers, a partnership between Google Canada and Actua that creates education learning modules for kids. This is the new engineering HQ for Google Canada, housing 350-plus employees in a restored building in Breithaupt Block. Google Kitchener-Waterloo, in operation since 2005, played a critical role in developing Gmail, the Chrome browser and Google Ads.
