Ivanhoé Cambridge and Hines have received permits to commence construction on Tours DUO, a 1.16M SF project with two office towers (39 floors and 27 floors) designed by renowned French architect Jean Nouvel. Located at the edge of the River Seine and alongside railway tracks in the 13th arrondissement, this mixed-use community—also with an eight-level hotel, restaurant-bar, garden and green terraces, auditorium and shops—will enable Parisians to “take back this former industrial wasteland,” Ivanhoé said, noting the project is similar in ambition to its Bay Park Centre project (another JV with Hines), which is to be built over railway tracks.
