KBE: Retail Update

KBE Building Corp, the construction company based in Farmington, CT, and Columbia, MD, has completed more than 1,000 retail projects over the last two decades worth $950M. It’s part of a steady request of improvements for retail companies in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast, including Panera, Chipotle, Price Chopper and JC Penney. Among these are The University Town Center in Hyattsville, MD: new construction of a $15M, two-story building, featuring a 54k SF Safeway supermarket, a 29k SF specialty store and medical office space. Other recently completed projects include the LL Bean in Tysons Corner, which features a renovation of the existing two-level, 60k SF retail store. The Buffalo Wild Wings in Falls Church required construction encompassing 6k SF and a tenant fit-out of the 300-seat restaurant. Past local retail projects include Houlihan’s restaurant in Columbia and Harris Teeter in Olney, Potomac and Southeast DC. For more information on our Bisnow partner, click here.
