Nashville REIT Buys Another Seattle-Area MOB For $53M

Placeholder

Healthcare Realty Trust paid $53M for the Talbot Professional Center on the UW Medicine-Valley Medical Center campus. The Nashville-based REIT is no stranger to the market: previously it acquired a nearby building called Valley Professional Center North. Between the two structures is an existing parking lot, where Healthcare Realty is planning to build a 150k SF MOB, the Puget Sound Business Journal reports.

The building will be the first medical office property in the neighborhood in about two decades. Last year, the company proposed a six-story development on Seattle's First Hill, and before that it developed a nine-story project in Bellevue. Healthcare Realty has acquired buildings in Seattle, Burien and Tacoma. CBRE's Paul Carr repped Healthcare Realty. [PSBJ]
