Roosevelt Row Among Top 15 Cool Streets

Phoenix’s Roosevelt Row not only made the cut for the Top 100 Cool Streets in North America, but cracked the top 15, in Cushman & Wakefield's recently released report.

Industry professionals across the country were surveyed about the walkability and diversity of the area in question, in addition to the strength of the neighborhood’s public transportation, vintage and thrift stores, and dining, nightlife, music and art.

RoRo was ranked as an “up-and-coming” cool street on the Hip-o-Meter, meaning Cushman & Wakefield thinks it could get even better. The area got its start on a path toward becoming a cool street in the 1990s, when cheap rents began attracting an artsy crowd.

Cushman & Wakefield says being cool matters to the industry because “retail lives and dies by cool. Concepts connect, build loyalty and grow by being cool. They also disengage, wither and die by not being cool.”
